Daniel McLean

1966-2012

Daniel McLean
45, Sydney

Neil Daniel McLean, of Colby Street, Sydney, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Sydney, he was the son of Dolena (MacLeod) McLean and the late Rev. Neil J. McLean.

Surviving are his sons, Alexander and Kendall McLean, Dartmouth; companion, Shirley Erickson, Sydney; sisters, Sharon (Gilbert) Schmidt, Sydney and Rachel (Rev. J. Gillis) Smith, NB; nephew, Timothy Schmidt, Sydney; and the mother of his children, Barbara (Burke) McLean, Dartmouth.

Daniel was predeceased by his daughter, Samantha Jean, in infancy and brothers, James Alexander and Neil David, in infancy.

Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church on Thursday 10:30 a.m., with interment in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Framboise.
