Townsend. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold;
brother, Carl Townsend and his wife, Margaret; brothers-in-law, Warren
Dobbin and Jack Stuewe; and nephew, Bill Townsend.

Shirley MacLean, Sydney and Patty Flynn (Mike), Dartmouth; nephews,
Jim Townsend, Toronto, Richard Townsend (Jean), Sydney, David Stuewe
(Brenda Joyce), Dartmouth, Doug Stuewe (Lynn), Ottawa and Les Dobbin,
Toronto.
Glady, in her younger years, was
active at the Sydney YMCA, has been a lifetime member of the Lingan
Golf Club and the Sydney Curling Club. She loved people, was an avid
bridge player, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and the activities
of the Westmount Seniors Club. The cornerstone of our family, Glady
will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will
be held Thursday 7 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel. Following the
service, Glady’s family will host a reception on the lower
level of the funeral home. A family burial will take place at Hardwood
Hill.
Thanks are extended to the caring staff
at Shannex Parkstone and Glasgow Hall, the ladies auxiliary of First
Baptist Church and Rev. Nelson Metcalf, for their kindness.
