Anne Nellie MacDonald, 93, of Sydney, passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Victoria, NFLD, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Fanny (Little) Murray.
Anne worked at Moraff Yarn’s and Craft’s. She was a member of Epworth United Church, First United Church and then Heritage United Church. She was a member of Cape Breton School of Crafts and was a founding member of the Deaf Association.
Anne is survived by her daughter Linda Aitkens, Fort McMurray, son Neil, Halifax, grandchildren Jeffrey (Dragana), Mark (Hannah), Alicia (Justin), and a great grandchild Jace.
She was predeceased by her husband Hugh, and 13 brothers and sisters she was the last surviving member of her family.
Visitation will be held Thursday August 8, 2019 from 4 – 7 pm in Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will take place Friday at 2 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of choice.
