William Aubrey Walker
With broken hearts, we, the family of William Aubrey Walker, regret to announce his passing on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
Born May 2, 1951, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Sadie (MacLean) Walker.
A loving father and grandfather, Aubrey’s children and grandchildren were his world. He was generous and selfless, always making sure nobody did without. Aubrey was an amazing cook who was well-known for his delicious homemade soup and stew. When not cooking up a storm, he could be found relaxing while watching Coronation Street and loved being outdoors working. A dedicated employee of Municipal Ready Mix, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and will be missed by his coworkers. Aubrey was a wonderful man who will be loving remembered and forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa; son, James “J.R.”; grandchildren, Brandon and Arianna; sister, Diane Byrne (Mick); brothers, Wayne (Dale), Kent (Debbie) and Neil (Cathy).
Besides his parents, Aubrey was predeceased by his brother, Philip.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at St. Columba Presbyterian Church, Marion Bridge on Tuesday, September 24 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Lydia MacKinnon officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials made be made to an educational trust fund for his grandchildren.
