Donald "Donnie" MacPhee

August 10, 1953 - November 13, 2021

|

Ben Eoin

We, the family of Donald “Donnie” MacPhee, regret to announce his passing on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at his home.

Born August 10, 1953, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Donald and Noreen (Myatt) MacPhee.

Donnie spent over 40 years as a truck driver and took pride in his work, making lifelong friends for every mile he drove.  His most cherished times were spent with family and friends.  He enjoyed times spent cooking lobster down on the Shore, having a “Gillic” and listening to a good jig or Elvis, surrounded by family and friends.   Donnie was an avid story teller, and was certain to have an entertaining story to share.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Sarah (MacPhee); daughter, Carrie Walters; sons, Blair and Andrew “Boss” (Melyssa); eight grandchildren, Alex, Keith, Dillon, Jessie, Anthony, Isla, Elsie and Ollie; sister, Anne Marie (Darren); brothers, Billy (Chris), Kevin (Corliss), Michael (Mary), Greg (Cindy) and Allan (Colleen); and mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Tena MacPhee-Pottie and Raymond Pottie. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Donnie was also predeceased by one grandchild, his little buddy, Brody; infant sister, Carol Anne; and father-in-law, Tony MacPhee.
