Everett Charles Beaver, 92, of Louisbourg, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born June 6, 1927, in Louisbourg, he was the son of the late Charley and Mary (Wilson) Beaver.

For 33 years, Everett was an engineer at National Sea Products, as well as Fire Chief of the Louisbourg Volunteer Fire Department for 23 years, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Greta (MacDonald); children, Hugh (the late Mary), Melvin (the late Judy), Lillie (Angus) Campbell and Sheila Beaver (the late Kevin Gaudet); grandchildren, Jamie and Kathy Lynn Beaver, Matthew and Nicole Gaudet, Scotty and Tammy Campbell; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Everett was predeceased by siblings, John, Everett, Harold, Tommy, Donald, Melvin, Haraldine, Kathleen, Myrtle, Hugh and Duncan.

Visitation will take place at First United Church, Louisbourg on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 12-2 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Thomas Whent officiating. Interment in Willow Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Louisbourg Volunteer Fire Department or First United Church, Louisbourg.
