WAJSTAUB, Henry, 71, passed away peacefully Friday, August 30, 2019, in An Cala Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with his wife of 45 years at his side.

Survived by his wife, Sandra (Cherny), originally from Winnipeg; sister, Rita (Shep) Dlot, of Winnipeg; brother-in-law, Stacey Cherny, of Israel; two nephews, one niece and three great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Leon; mother, Saba; and uncle, Simon (Eva) Berchard.

A funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday, September 1 at 2 p.m., with Rabbi David Ellis officiating. Interment in the Hebrew Cemetery.

Many thanks to the doctors at the Cape Breton Cancer Centre and palliative care, especially Drs. D'Intino, Burns and Khodadad, as well as the caring staff at An Cala and the Cape Breton Cancer Centre.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton would be greatly appreciated.
