Janice graduated from the University College of Cape Breton in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts Community Studies. She worked for the Department of Community Services in the Glace Bay and Sydney offices. She was predeceased by her brother, Blaise Dennis and niece, Jillian.

Cremation has already occurred and there will be no visitation or funeral service according to Janice's wishes. Interment will take place privately in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks at a later date.

At this time the family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, the Palliative Care Clinic and the VON Sydney. Their dedicated and tireless efforts have been a source of comfort to Janice.
