Joseph "Dickie" Pitchuck

We, the family of Joseph Anthony “Dickie” Pitchuck, regret to announce his passing on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

Born December 15, 1940, in Sydney, he was the son of the late William and Stephanie (Mischiek) Pitchuck.

Dickie is survived by his wife, Margaret (Wrathall); daughters, Wanda (Alex) LeBlanc, Shelly (Michael) Johnston and Carol (Ronald) MacKay, all of Sydney; sons, Richard (Wendy), Moncton and Herbie (Laurie), Sydney; grandchildren, Joseph, Lisa, Leanne, Jessica, Kyle, Brittney, John Martin, Shayne, Tyler, Cidney and Craig; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Muise and Patricia (Duncan) Layes, Sydney; brothers, Raymond (Ann), Sydney, Paul, Glace Bay and Stephen, Sydney.

Besides his parents, Dickie was predeceased by his sisters, Rose Burke, Theresa Johnson, Catherine Wrathall and Blair Boutiler and brothers, William, Richard and Michael.

Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 13 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 14 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating.  Interment at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association of Nova Scotia or the Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia.
