Myrna Colleen Ann Gillis passed away February 20, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Whelan) Dunn.  

Myrna was a devoted member of Holy Redeemer Church.  

Myrna is survived by her loving husband, Simon; sister, Josephine “Daisy” Dunn; brother, Frank (Sandra); sisters-in-law, Mildred, Novena and Sandra; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her sisters, Mamie (Wally) Barrett and Anne (Paul) Carroll; and brothers, John (Lois), Philip (Blanch), Bob (Lois), James (Eleanor) and Thomas (Doreen).

Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 10 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Covid restrictions apply while inside the Church. The service will be live streamed on the Holy Redeemer Church Facebook page. Interment will take place in Old Calvary Cemetery, Whitney Pier at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Redeemer Building Fund.
