Patricia Marie Ivany

We, the family, are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our sister, Patricia Marie Ivany on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
Born March 16, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ann (Walker) Ivany of Whitney Pier.
Patricia was a very determined and strong-willed woman who faced many challenges in her life, but wasn’t one to give up easily. She loved listening to her music and participating in singing along at the home where she made many friends who she loved dearly. Patricia had a strong bond and much love for all animals and an uncanny connection to them all. Patricia loved watching the Blue Jays ball games, hockey and her favourite wrestlers on the WWE.
Patricia leaves behind her sisters, Judy (Dave) Myatt, Linda (Norman) Williams and Debbie (Edward) Davis; brother, Wally; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
We would like to thank the staff of the Fisherman’s Cove Unit at Harbourstone Enhanced Care and the MacGillivray Guest Home, as well as the palliative care team and Dr. Archibald for the compassion and care they provided Patricia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Sydney Memorial Chapel. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the SPCA or a charity of one’s choice.
